My sister called me this morning and asked if I wanted to go for a walk on the local trail that we sometimes do. I said yes and was anxious to be outdoors and getting some exercise. Especially after such a busy week. She brought her dog and along this path there is a little dog park. We entered the dog park on the side marked for small dogs. There were so many cute single men there with little dogs. I was surprised. One guy caught my eye. He owned a breed that I have only typically seen women in their 50′s or older own. It was a Maltese. It didn’t matter what kind of dog he had, I couldn’t help but keep my eyes fixated on him. As, I sat there watching owner after owner come in with their precious dogs, the desire for a small dog crept up on me again. I saw a miniature Doberman pincer that was just adorable and the dog I fell in love with was a daschun named “Doc”. He was sooo mellow and sweet.
Oh I forgot to mention “cute guy at church”. Now since I started attending my church nearly 2 1/2 years ago, I pretty much gave up on the idea of meeting a future boyfriend there. The problem is the pool of available men is very small. I’m talking like 2-3 single men and they all appear to be over the age of 45. Well, 3 weeks ago my church had a special Sunday where both the 1st and 2nd services were combined. I man came in and sat a few rows ahead of me. I had never seen him before so naturally I assumed he was a 1st service attender while I am always a 2nd service one. He is very handsome. He is shaved bald with a dark brown Goatee. He looks very clean cut. Well last week I noticed he walked into the 2nd service and sat again in the same row I had noticed him in weeks ago. At some point during the service he got up to get some coffee. On his way back to his seat, I casually looked in his direction (on pure accident) and caught him looking at me. he flashed a smile at me and I sorta returned a nervous half smile and quickly looked straight ahead again. After the service he appeared to be coming in my direction when an older women swooped in and pulled him aside to chat with him. Rather than me wait around to see if he would approach me, I left.
I sure hope he shows tomorrow. if he does, well then I am gonna assume he wants to introduce himself to me. Yea, it may be wishful thinking but I have never seen him in the 2nd service before.
