It’s Offical, Single Mom Dating Is Trying Speed Dating
I have been wanting to try speed dating for about 6 months now. I just never could build up the nerve to commit to an event. I was always too scared to enter the event and feel as though I was putting myself up on the market. More importantly I was afraid the rejection. The rejection of getting a dreaded email the next day saying no one was interested in me.
Since last summer, I have talked about it a few times with my older sister, whom is also still single; trying to convince her to attend with me but she wouldn’t. Out of the blue last weekend she tells me that her friend Jackie will go with me. I was super excited! So we went ahead and got registered yesterday and the actual event is 2 night before Valentine’s day. it should be interesting. My sister is already trying to plan what to wear. I am thinking of red or purple. I don’t want to wear black. I want to stick out so that the men remember me.
I like this because there is no pressure. You talk with each person attending the event. If you click, then you write a yes or no and then you are emailed your matches.
Now I just need to start thinking of 3 key questions I can ask for my dates.
Here’s an explanation of how speed dating works in case you are curious.
