For the most part, I am having more success with plenty of fish as far as chatting with the type of men I am looking for. I feel as though I a making some progress.
The other night I was approached by a pilot who would be staying over in town for the night and wanted to know if I would meet him for drinks. Although he was super hot, I’m pretty sure he had something more on his mind than just drinks. I’m not that kinda woman.
I started chatting with Jason a few days ago and although it took him 2 days to respond to me from my last message, I think he got the picture that I was losing interest when I actually deleted his messages last night. The thing is that on Plenty Of Fish when you send messages, you can see when they have been read and when they have been deleted. If a guy sends me a message of “You are sexy” or “I wish I could have you” or any other similar crap like that, I immediately delete it. if they check their sent box, it shows them the message was deleted and then they know without a doubt I am not interested. However; if someone reds it and doesn’t delete it, it will show the message as “read”, which then leaves you wondering “ok, its not deleted. Maybe they will write me back”. I hate that! So if a guy reads my response but doesn’t respond back to me within 24 hours, I start to lose interest. Since Jason took 2 days to respond, last night I deleted his messages. lol So this morning he probably saw that and then he decided he needed to make some real effort here or he was losing me fast. lol
So he asked if he could meet me on Monday or Tuesday of next week. I told him that Tuesday sounds good. Damn, maybe I should have said Monday! Do you think he’s going to read into why I chose Tuesday. As if I had plans for Monday or that I am not all that interested in meeting him. Good grief! We’ll find out what he wants to do. he did say meet at 8:00pm so that means dinner is out. Now the next test, will he ask me to coffee or drinks? The man I am interested in meeting for would have asked me to dinner but it seems today that most of the online sites encourage coffee or drinks as a first date. Patti still says that coffee is cheap, drinks are still cheap but dinner is for romance.
